About us

Established in the heart of the growing city of Box Hill, the Village Well Community Centre creates a space for communities to establish, be nourished, and thrive. Through a range of community activities we aim to help individuals to build connections across within and across our diverse communities, provide practical supports, and reduce the risk of social isolation.

We operate from a strengths-based approach which recognises that all of us have strengths that we can use and share to make our community a better place.

An initiative of Box Hill Baptist Church, the Village Well is proudly affirming of all cultures, faiths, languages, abilities, genders, and sexualities.

We recognise that the Village Well is on the land of the Wurund-jeri people of the Kulin nation, land that was stolen, not ceded. We honour their Ancestors and acknowledge the right and responsibility of Wurrund-jeri Elders to care for country. We commit ourselves to working towards a more just settlement for all Indigenous people.
